The Pelican

BACKGROUND

There are two kinds of news apps - the ones there were created and built by various news organizations and media channels, with the benefits of a trusted news source, however these offer only a single source. Then there are the personalized magazines that select news stories from various sources and although they seem to deliver what  you want, you will not know what you're missing out.

THE CHALLENGE

The main objective was to create a lab product that integrates the concept of a multi-source news magazine that does not require customization, with a traditional news design and all the new and exciting capabilities that a tablet offers the user. 

THE SOLUTION

The result is the Pelican - RSS based news app that constantly gathers the most interesting news stories from the best sources and presents them on your iPad in a gorgeous print-like format.
